These scenes, a reflection on brief moments which affect present actions, are explored and recreated in paper by appropriating using parts of previous paintings which I have cut up and saved, as well as remnants from the Johnny Painstroke performances.

Korean is a very formal language. The words and grammar you would use to speak to a stranger are different from when you would speak to a friend of family member. When I first arrived to Korea and started learning Korean I was eager to speak to people but unaware of the aforementioned rules. During the first work dinner with the school I was working at I was speaking to an older woman who worked at the restaurant. She was teaching me how to use chopsticks and I replied Alas-so ( which means "Got it"
